Prof. Dr. Hasan Bahar CV



    He graduated from Ancient History Section at Istanbul University in 1982. He began as an Assistant Researcher in Ancient History Section in History Department in Science and Letters Faculty  at Selcuk University in 1985. He completed his Master Thesis (1987) and his Doctorate  (1991) at  the same university. He became Ass. Professor in 1998 and Professor in 2004. Since 1980, he has attended different archeological excavations and surveys both at home and abroad. He directed the  Bilge Kagan (Mongolia) Complex Excavations in 2001 and 2003.
            He has carried out “Konya and Karaman Archaeological Survey Researches” since 1994.  During the these surveys, Hittite Hieroglyph Inscription of  Kurunta  and Aceramic Neolithic Settlement of Boncuklu Höyük were discovered.

            At present , Hasan Bahar teaches Ancient Civilizations History Course at  History Department at Science and Letters Faculty  at Selcuk University and he still goes on studies as a chairman of  the History Department.
